In developing a software product, I focused on understanding the customer's needs by gathering requirements and conducting interviews to gain insightful feedback. I identified pain points and drafted a business model canvas while designing the revenue and financial model and researching technology feasibility. To optimize the engineering process, I broke down complex problems into simple tasks and modules that were agile and easy to develop. I designed the user interface using tools like Figma and created the code architecture for key features like the extension and website front and back end. This deep understanding of the product allowed me to deliver a solution that met the customers' needs while also being scalable and easy to maintain.

I had the opportunity to work on a medical product aimed at effective dental biofilm disruption and removal. I played a crucial role in conducting customer interviews and gaining valuable insights into the needs and challenges faced by dentists, patients, and insurance companies. In addition to learning from Key Opinion Leaders in the medical field, I also took the time to thoroughly research commercialization and PMF (Product Market fit), delving into the FDA requirements, patient interviews, and education.Through this experience, I gained a deep understanding of the complexities of the medical industry and the importance of creating products that are tailored to the unique needs of patients, all while navigating the intricate trademark process.

During my time as an engineering management student, I have gained invaluable experience by immersing myself in various societies and clubs. As part of my academic pursuits, I have learned about true entrepreneurship and commercialization and have been actively involved in several startups, such as Trojan Resume and OneCard. I have honed my skills in customer discovery, market analysis, and feasibility studies, and I have designed business models and developed MVPs and prototypes. Additionally, I have learned about engineering statistics, economics, and the art of leading and managing engineering teams. I have also gained a deep understanding of startup finance and adapted to USC, California, and US culture. In my spare time, I enjoy participating in various sports, such as soccer and bouldering, and I also love to play guitar and sing at open mic nights. I have also explored different places around California and the US, including San Francisco, San Diego, New York, Buffalo, and Niagara. I have been an active member of clubs such as Reach, Snow Club, Mountain Climbing, Bouldering, and AIS (Association of Indian Students at USC).

As a technology expert, I have worked on various complex projects and technologies and broken down these complex technologies into simple and agile modules that were easy to develop. When dealing with legacy code, I formulated a strategy for code transition that didn't disrupt existing technology. One example of this was the SADEA project, where I collaborated with Dr. Bo Liu from MathWorks to explain the project to my colleagues. I conducted several customer interviews and used continuous improvement strategies like usability testing to enhance product features. Additionally, I coordinated cross-functional teams across different time zones using integration tools such as Teams, Jira, Confluence, and Salesforce. I have also had the opportunity to explore my adventurous side by visiting places like Orlando and Tampa in Florida and participating in activities such as skydiving.

During my time as a student at Symbiosis Institute of Technology (SIT) in Pune, I had a diverse range of experiences that have helped shape me into the person I am today. From excelling academically to participating in cultural events and sports, I learned much about myself and the world around me.I was particularly proud of my achievements in engineering graphics, a notoriously challenging subject, and I was the top student in my class. I also studied various other topics, including semiconductor devices, network analysis, EM theory, and engineering mathematics, to name just a few. Additionally, I had hands-on experience with Raspberry Pi and Arduino boards, developing control systems for line follower robots, vehicle tracking systems, and bus management software.Outside of the classroom, I loved exploring the beautiful natural surroundings in Pune through trekking and hiking. I also participated in college events such as Protathalitis, football, cultural events, and music (playing guitar and singing).

I was part of a team that conceptualized, designed, and prototyped a new product aimed at helping visually challenged individuals navigate their surroundings. The product, which I co-invented and hold a patent for, consists of a pair of spectacles equipped with camera sensors and a haptic feedback vest that the user wears. The camera sensors detect obstacles and signal the vest to vibrate in a specific way, helping the user navigate around the obstacle. We also developed software using libraries like TensorFlow and OpenCV for image processing and machine learning to identify objects and signboards. The product was pitched to an investor at Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) and received funding of Rs. 1.5M.
